Place Value

Practicing place value will help your child later in their academic career. Below are some fun games you can play to help improve their place value knowledge.

1-Dice roll

You will need:

Playing die

Popsicle Sticks

To Play:

1-Player 1 rolls dice and takes that many popsicle sticks from the pot.

2-Player 2 does the same.

3-Players continue rolling and taking sticks until they are able to make a bundle (10 sticks)

4-Play for given amount of time. Once time is called, have them tell you their total amount by skip counting their bundles. 

2- Roll and make

You will need:

2 dice

popsicle sticks

paper/pencil

To Play:

1-roll 2 dice

2-make the two digit number shown with popsicle sticks

3-Draw it on paper
